 Our Fire Departments
 Print this page

Note from the Administrative Director:

To the members of Export, Murrysville, Sardis & White Valley Fire Departments:

Throughout the years, we have found ourselves standing along dark roadways together, starring at each other over the roofs of a wrecked vehicles, crawling in the brush of the wilderness, or in the front yard of a house which was engulfed in flames, and without saying a word, we can almost read each others mind. This says a lot about the professional and well-working relationship we have with each other. Many times we have called you away from your family events, holidays, social events, and awoke you from a deep sleep to assist us with a motor vehicle accident, critical injured/sick patient, setting up a landing zone, or any of the many other situations we find ourselves in, and without a second thought, I can always count on an army of people from your organizations to assist us in whatever needs done. Over recent years, it seems as though our knowledge of the profession has been tested with the large-scale multiple nursing home evacuations and industrial site incidents, and not forgetting about the gasoline line rupture, and these tests have always been successful. I have no doubt whatever our next call may be, that together it will be handled professionally and expeditiously. I couldn't imagine what our job would be like without the assistance the fire departments of the Municipality of Murrysville and the Borough of Export have demonstrated through the years. With this in mind, our new website would not be complete without recognizing you; our local fire departments. On behalf of the members, employees, and management of Murrysville Medic One, THANK YOU! This page on our new website is dedicated to the men and women that make-up these four fire departments.

J. Darrick Gerano, Administrative Director

Within our primary response area (Municipality of Murrysville and Borough of Export) we provide medical coverage to four fire departments; Export VFD, Murrysville VFD, Sardis VFD, and White Valley VFD. Each of these fire departments is made up of 100% volunteers, which on an annual basis answers hundreds of calls for help. Over recent years, these volunteers have taken their ability and training to the next level with their state and federal certifications. These volunteers are credited for saving many lives with their ability to rapidly extricate someone from a wrecked vehicle or by rescuing them from a structural fire. This page on our website is dedicated to the men and women that make-up each of these fire departments. Below is a list of these departments and their web address.
