Our Services

EMS
We operate a fleet of eight Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulances, each fully equipped with Zoll cardiac monitors, hypothermic units, nitrous oxide therapy, SMART triage systems, and onboard computers. Our ambulances are designed to provide rapid, high-quality emergency care, whether responding to 911 calls or interfacility transfers. Our three wheelchair vans ensure safe, non-emergency medical transport for patients with mobility challenges, featuring hydraulic lifts and secure seating.

Non-Emergency Transport
Our three wheelchair vans ensure safe, non-emergency medical transport for patients with mobility challenges, featuring hydraulic lifts and secure seating. Residents may need transport from one hospital to another for surgery or a specific treatment. At the end of their hospital stay patients may not be able to be transported in a private vehicle either to a nursing home, rehabilitation facility or the resident’s home. They may need transport either by ambulance or wheelchair van. With medical authorization many insurances, but not all, will pay for these services but Medic One can provide that needed transportation.
Because Medic One has a PUC license we can transport you in your wheelchair to your doctor’s office, parties, weddings, funerals, and many other events. Medicare and most insurance companies will not pay for this service. To schedule a trip and check on rates please call 724-327-1222.

Our team is trained to handle a variety of specialized rescue situations using state-of-the-art equipment. We operate two all-terrain vehicles (ATVs/UTVs) for off-road search and rescue, equipped with medical gear, extrication tools, and patient transport capabilities. Our special equipment includes three inflatable rooms that inflate in 15 minutes to provide shelter to first responders and others or provide a staging area for mass evacuations. These rooms can be heated in the winter or cooled in the summer. We also provide rope rescue, fireground rehabilitation, and disaster response with our Special Response Team (S.R.T) units and Emergency Support Unit, ensuring we’re ready for any challenge.

First Responder Support
Medic One dispatches an ambulance crew to provide aid to many first responders, especially on every fire call and some police calls.
The purpose of sending a crew is to provide aid to first responders if necessary. If a first responder gets injured in the line of duty the ambulance crew can administer advanced life support and determine if the first responder needs to be transported to a hospital. If there is a large and involved incident involving police and / or fire fighters an ambulance crew is stationed at the scene to work with first responder rehabilitation. The crews routinely conduct an evaluation of the first responders measuring need for oxygen, blood pressure issues and heart rate monitoring. By evaluating these conditions, the crews can determine if the first responder needs further treatment or can continue to function at the scene of the incident.

Community Education & Training
We believe in empowering our community with lifesaving skills through hands-on education. Our team offers CPR and first aid certification courses, “Stop the Bleed” training, and public safety demonstrations. We also utilize our rehab trailer and command trailer to simulate real-world emergency scenarios, providing a dynamic learning environment for individuals and organizations. By equipping the public with essential medical and EMS industry knowledge via routine articles in local newspaper and on our social media platforms, we help improve emergency response before professional help arrives.
